My daughter and I spent a most relaxing week in this accommodation. Highly recommend and would go back there tomorrow: Fine Stay Apartments
We stayed 7 nights at this lovely apartment surrounded by the Slovenian alps. The tiny settlement of Moste in the Zavrsnica valley is less than 10 mins drive from the centre of Bled. We enjoyed the beautiful countryside and the lake and had some lovely day trips out to Pericnik waterfall, Vintgar george and Bled castle. A small grocery store is nearby as well as a restaurant. You definitely do need a car, but there is ample parking by the house.
The flat is clean, well equipped and very comfortable, everything we needed for a stress free rental. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. On arrival they had left a nice bottle of wine for us. No complaints at all, we had a very enjoyable stay.
While i was in Otranto in April of last year, i also made a trip to Alberobello.
Alberobello is a little town and comune in the province of Bari, in Puglia, Italy. It has a little more than 11,000 inhabitants and is known for its very unique trulli constructions. The Trulli of Alberobello are part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites list for more than 15 years now.
In April 2011 I was in Otranto, Italy.
Otranto is one of the most beautiful seaside towns in the Mediterranean.
Otranto is located on the Adriatic coast of southern Italy in the heel of the Italian boot.
This is a view i had from the terrace of Palazzo Papaleo hotel.
Hotel Palazzo Papaleo is a 5 star luxury hotel with a lot of character. I can totally recommend this hotel to all who wants to visit this part of the world.
It has everything what is expected from a five star hotel, it’s small, the staff was friendly and the rooms were super clean and beautiful.
I also saw a wedding when I was in Otranto. She had such a beautiful wedding dress.
The history of Otranto castle is mainly linked to the sad event of the Turkish siege in 1480.
Tourists can admire the towers named Alfonsina, Duchessa and Ippolita and the embankment known as the “Punta di Diamante”. When you finish your visit to the castle you can walk the streets of one of the most beautiful medieval districts in Italy.
While i was in Otranto I visited the cathedral, where the bones and skull of the 800 martyrs of Otranto, killed during the Ottoman war in 1480, adorn the walls. It was scarry and I felt really uncomfortable there.

In June 2012 I was in Portoroz, on Slovenia’s Adriatic coast. Portoroz is a beautiful coastal town located in the heart of Europe. It is a popular place to relax and entertain. The town began to develop already in the Roman period. Today is Portoroz full with hotels, restaurants, bars, casino, old villas and more.
This is a view from my hotel room while I was in a hotel called LifeClass Hotel Riviera to be exact. Everything looks so new and renovated that it gives kind of an unreal Disneyland feel to the town.
Pool with sea water is located on hotels terrace Night swimming in it is also possible.
This is where I was trying to get some tan
The sea water was great and refreshing, around 24 degrees Celsius if I remember right
My vacation in Umag, Croatia didn’t go exactly as planned, but I was in such a desperate state for some getaway time that it didn’t seemed to matter. I spent most of the time on the beach sunning, reading, and playing volleyball and of course swimming in the warm water of the sea.
This is the apartment in which I stayed during my vacation in Umag, Croatia. The house is more than 150 years old and it has walls that are almost a meter thick.
And this is the view I had from the apartment I was staying at.
I usually try to find a remote beach that nobody goes there.
State-of-the-art electrical wiring in the center of Umag.
I always save one thing for the next time. In Paris it was the visit of the Eiffel Tower, this time it was parasailing
Crazy local guys playing football in the heating sun for hours every single day
A very peaceful sunset in Umag.
Another peaceful sunset.
